Polycystic Ovarian syndrome is associated with endocrine biochemical imbalances. The underlying endocrine imbalance include elevated androgens (testosterone) which contribute to hirtusim and can promote acne. Altered feed back loops with the pituitary gland and a degree of insulin resistance contributes to weight gain.
